Institute of AI

Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise accessing or using the GARNET-26 chatbot or any other service provided on this website (together, the "Service"), operated by the Institute of AI ("iAi", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to every part of the Service, including the chat interface, any predictive or informational tools made available through it, account registration and management, and any administrative or support functionality. The Service is intended for users who are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in their jurisdiction of residence. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" in that case refers to both you individually and the organization.

2. Description of the Service

The Service includes an AI-powered chatbot ("GARNET-26") that provides general information and assistance, and generates statistical forecasts for the price direction of certain commodities and financial indices, including but not limited to gold, crude oil, and the US Dollar Index, based on historical data and statistical modeling.

The Service is currently under active development and should be considered experimental. Features, underlying models, data sources, and the user interface may change, be added, or be removed at any time without prior notice. The Service may include account registration, persistent chat history tied to your account, account management features (such as editing your profile or adjusting privacy preferences), and, for a limited set of authorized personnel, administrative tools used to operate and support the Service. Availability of any specific feature is not guaranteed, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, temporarily or permanently, at our discretion.

3. Not Financial, Investment, or Legal Advice

All predictions, forecasts, statistics, and other output generated by GARNET-26 are provided for general informational purposes only. They are statistical estimates derived from historical data and do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, legal advice, or a recommendation of any kind. You should not rely on any output from the Service as the basis for any financial or investment decision. Past performance and backtested accuracy do not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on information obtained from the Service, and you should consult a qualified, licensed professional before making any financial decision.

Where the Service presents statistical context alongside a forecast — such as a model’s backtested accuracy, whether a result is statistically significant, or whether a specific figure is labeled as a "best guess" rather than a validated forecast — that context is provided to help you understand the genuine limitations of the underlying statistical methods, and should not be interpreted as increasing the reliability of the Service for decision-making purposes. No use of the Service creates a financial advisory, investment advisory, brokerage, or fiduciary relationship between you and iAi, regardless of how detailed or confident any individual response may appear.

4. No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the Service uses real data and sound statistical methods, we make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any content, prediction, or information generated by the Service. AI-generated and statistically modeled content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

The Service relies in part on third-party data providers and infrastructure, including but not limited to market data, macroeconomic data, and news sentiment sources, as well as third-party artificial intelligence service providers used to generate conversational responses. These third parties may experience outages, delays, data lags, rate limits, or changes to their own services that are entirely outside our control and may affect the timeliness, availability, or accuracy of information provided through the Service. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation of the Service, and we are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of any third-party data or service that the Service depends on.

5. User Accounts

To access certain areas of the Service, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account registration may require verification of your email address before full access to the Service is granted, and you are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account for this purpose, as well as for password recovery. You agree to choose a reasonably secure password and not to share your account credentials with any other person. We reserve the right to suspend or disable any account we reasonably believe has been compromised, was registered using false or misleading information, or is being used in violation of these Terms, and we may require you to verify your identity or reset your credentials before restoring access.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its underlying systems, or other users’ accounts; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (d) scrape, harvest, or excessively query the Service in a manner that could be reasonably considered abusive; or (e) use the Service to generate or disseminate misleading financial information to third parties while representing it as guaranteed or professional financial advice.

The Service, including its underlying API endpoints, is intended for genuine, individual human use through the provided interface. Automated, scripted, or bulk access to the Service’s systems without our prior written permission is prohibited, and we may apply rate limiting or other technical measures to protect the Service from abusive or excessive use, including to protect against costs associated with third-party services the Service relies on. Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, in addition to any other remedies available to us under these Terms or applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and materials associated with the Service, other than content you submit, are the property of iAi or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial informational purposes.

The names "GARNET-26" and "Institute of AI," along with associated logos and branding, are the property of iAi and may not be used, reproduced, or represented as your own without our prior written consent. This license does not permit you to copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works based on the Service or its underlying software, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you agree that we may use them without any obligation or compensation to you.

8. Data & Privacy

When you create an account, we collect the information necessary to operate that account (such as your email address), which is processed and stored via our authentication service provider. Conversations with GARNET-26 may be processed by third-party AI service providers in order to generate responses. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. For further detail on how your data is used, please contact us using the details below.

Saved chat history and administrator access. If you choose to keep your chat history (rather than enabling automatic deletion on logout in your account settings), your conversations are stored and associated with your account. Authorized administrators of the Institute of AI have the technical ability to access and review the content of stored conversations for purposes including customer support, troubleshooting, moderation, and maintaining the security and proper functioning of the Service. Administrator access is restricted to authorized personnel and is not made available to other users. If you would prefer your conversations not be retained or reviewable in this way, you may enable the "delete all my chats automatically when I log out" option in your account settings, or delete individual chats at any time.

The third-party service providers used to operate the Service, including authentication, database, and AI processing providers, may store or process data outside of your country of residence. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to this processing. We retain account and chat data for as long as your account remains active, or until you delete it through the features described above, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, iAi and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or financial losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service, including any reliance placed on predictions or information generated by the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from interruptions, and scheduled or unscheduled downtime, including delays caused by underlying hosting infrastructure, may occur without notice. You agree to indemnify and hold iAi harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion.

You may stop using the Service and may request deletion of your account at any time. Upon termination of your account, whether by you or by us, your right to access the Service will immediately cease, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our data retention practices described in Section 8, though some information may be retained where required for legal or security purposes. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including but not limited to Sections 3, 4, 7, 9, and 12 — will continue to apply after your access to the Service ends.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically, as we may not provide individual notice of every change. If a change is significant enough that we determine direct notice is appropriate, we may attempt to notify you through the Service or via the email address associated with your account, though we are not obligated to do so. If you do not agree to a revised version of these Terms, your only recourse is to stop using the Service and, if you wish, request deletion of your account.

12. Governing Law

[Placeholder -- to be completed with the specific governing jurisdiction applicable to iAi, e.g. the laws of England and Wales, before this document is relied upon.]

[Placeholder -- this section should also specify how disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved (for example, through the courts of a specified jurisdiction, or through arbitration), and should include a standard severability clause confirming that if any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This entire section should be finalized with qualified legal counsel before these Terms are relied upon.]

13. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us via the Contact Us page on our main website.

We will make reasonable efforts to respond to legitimate inquiries about these Terms, your account, or your data in a timely manner, though response times are not guaranteed. If you have a concern about the Service or believe these Terms have been violated, we encourage you to raise it with us directly before pursuing any other form of resolution, so that we have a fair opportunity to address it.
